2 TESTS - 3 CATEGORIES

With the goal to identify and foster scientific temper within students, VSSF conducts SPOT for 3 categories.

*MCQ – Multiple Choice Questions

SPOT TEST’S:

1. SPOT PRELIMS to identify SMART SPOT’s:

• Medium of the test is English
• Level1 exam > Consist of Science, Mental ability & analytics
• Min. Cut off > 90%, however, student will be shortlisted basis percentile scores
• Results shall be announced through schools / school coordinator
• Only shortlisted students will be informed
• CBSE, ICSE/ISCE and State Board syllabus is followed for setting the test papers.

2. SPOT100 (FINAL) to ascertain National Top 100’s:

• Exam restricted to SPOT PRELIMS qualifiers only
• Medium of test shall be in English
• Level 2 exam > Consist of Science, Mental ability, Analytics & Logical reasoning
• 100% attendance for Online Classroom sessions mandatory for a SMART SPOT to qualify for SPOT Final
• 20% weightage for Online participation of VSSF Science forum / workshops / Paper presentation etc
• Students will be shortlisted basis percentile scores.
• Results shall be announced through schools / school coordinator
• Only shortlisted students will be informed
• CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabus is followed for setting the test papers.

Detailed info on SPOT 100 (Final) shall be communicated to Students / Schools by 5^th Jan 2025.

Both SPOT PRELIMS & SPOT 100 shall be conducted at the respective schools.

Interested students from non- participating SPOT schools could either inform the respective School Principal for SPOT participation or write us on spotnational@vssf.in with the name and contact details of the School and the Principal. VSSF shall initiate discussion with the schools for participation, in case of non-conformity, shall consider opening the Test link for the student to take the test at home.

All information regarding SPOT shall be available at the School Coordinator & also at VSSF portal by 15^th Sep 2024.

3. MOCK TEST:

• Students at all level mandated to take the Mock Test at least once, dates shall be communicated by 10^th Dec 2025.
• All registered Students would get 2 full attempts of Mock test
• Taking Mock Test is critical for students to understand the test process & question paper
• Login / Password issues (if any) that could emanate during Mock Test need to be escalated to VSSF on priority in order to avoid issues during SPOT PRELIMS.
• Last minute escalation could create undue stress on both ends.
